Leagues

Leagues and ladders, week after week.Leagues and ladders, week after week.

Run divisions with a group stage and a main draw, keep a ladder that players challenge their way up, or set up a league between clubs. Substitutes, reschedules and disputes are handled in the league, not in a group chat.

Ladder

Challenge the pair above you. Win, and take their place.Challenge the pair above you. Win, and take their place.

Pairs challenge up the ladder within the range you set. A win swaps the two pairs, cooldowns stop the same pair being chased all week, and everyone sees where they stand.

This ladder's rules

  • Challenge up to 3 places above you
  • 72 hours to accept a challenge
  • One open challenge at a time
  • 3 days before you can challenge again
  • Win and you swap places. Nobody else moves.
  • Challenge range

Decide how many places up a pair can challenge. Three is the default.

  • Time to accept

A challenge that isn't accepted in time expires, so the ladder keeps moving.

  • Starting order

When the ladder opens, pairs can be placed by skill level.

Questions

What league organisers ask. What league organisers ask.

What kinds of league can I run?

Leagues with divisions, a group stage and a main draw, ladders with challenges, and hybrid leagues where clubs play each other in groups.

How does a ladder challenge work?

A pair challenges another pair within the range above them that you set, three places by default. If the challenger wins, the two pairs swap places. Challenges expire if they aren't accepted in time, and a cooldown stops back-to-back challenges.

What if a player can't make it?

They can request a substitute, which you review and apply, or the match can be rescheduled with new time options that both sides respond to.

What if a result is disputed?

Players open a dispute and attach evidence, and an admin reviews it. Results can also be recorded as a walkover, a retirement or a disqualification.

Can players find a partner inside the league?

Yes. Players browse partner suggestions, invite a partner to their team or send them an invite link.
